Sincere Voices bound only by the best of creative imaginations that
dress an idyllic future; seasoned by tainted reason, to paint tomorrows free
from pesky deniers. “There is no question our earth will bake and wither”
be the response to those deniers whose questions are ignored, and are
accused of being liars by those Sincere Voices found mute upon a challenge.
So what nasty facts might not be of comfort to those Sincere Voices; start with
need for great amounts of minerals and processing – where is the plan
for that? – a hearty start there! and learn of Range Anxiety with a keyboard
and an open mind, with that a massive gulf you’ll find, between official and
real miles up to percent of 30; and that too at risk – and never certain.
EV software galore for all controls, and data, and interface with smart phones
and new operating systems for this computer on wheels – and more;
the number of versions of software and apps to soar; and at best a seamless,
complex electronic ecosystem – fallible, not yet quite practical, and functioning
even when unplugged, but not yet always – beware the bug.
And grid loads increase from EVs, chip factories, heat pumps, AI and
CHAT-GBT-4; transmission lines, permits and impact reviews needed, and
many implore “Not In My Backyard!”. So to feed this crave for electrical power
the grid needs to double in size, and amidst it all the guidance is given to
“kill fossil fuel” from the wise – from a familiar Sincere Voice.
Ah but sincerity fails in its effectiveness when these issues become known;
the gap between promises and what can be done soon enough is exposed;
and current from a charging station no longer flows, and with some time the
creative imaginations are shown – to only be thoughts, not transmission lines;
the schemes of an idyllic future so wrong – sincerity abused becomes crime.
