Hershey kisses that melt on a warm window sill,

\nfor it’s just like the worries of some leaders in Springfield,
\nas their money concerns melt away.<\/p>\n
Just imagine the delightful relief when they heard,
\nof a plan being hatched by the Feds,
\nthat Medicaid grants could start rolling in,
\nto each state even those in the red.<\/p>\n
“By God it’s a miracle!!” you can hear them cry out
\nas far away as Champaign.
\nFor just as an addict relieved with his fix,
\nmoney is Springfield’s cocaine.<\/p>\n
It’s been decades now that this Structure of Power
\nhas ruled with an iron fist.
\nAnd look where it’s got us, Illinoisans held hostage,
\nby a decades old Structural Cyst.<\/p>\n
So if cash grants are made, or if taxes increased,
\nIllinoisans respectfully request …
\n… no new money comes … ’til that Structural Cyst …
