Half the country on edge, in trepidation and fear,
\nthe other half holds its breath.
\nThe Era of Trump is about to dawn,
\nall that’s certain is taxes and death.<\/p>\n
The greatest unknown, facing us now,
\nis what happens once Trump is sworn in.
\nWith Trump and a GOP Senate and House,
\na wild ride will likely begin.<\/p>\n
So when Congress first meets, what’s the first act,
\nThe House decides to do?
\nPerhaps it’s something, that sets the tone,
\nto be forthright, transparent and true.<\/p>\n
Well no not at all, just didn’t happen,
\ninstead the first step they took.
\nWas just for themselves, something they wanted,
\nthat’s where they took the first look.<\/p>\n
That Office of Ethics is faulty for sure,
\nits practices not the best.
\nSo they simply announced, this Office of Ethics,
\nis something they’re putting to rest.<\/p>\n
With the country bewildered, surprised and confused,
\nby their official first act,
\nthey quickly recanted, babbled and chanted,
\nthey’d be leaving their ethics in tact.<\/p>\n
We need our leaders, to work on our problems,
\ntrusted leaders, whom we see engrossed.
\nSo why from closed doors, they send the impression,
\nit’s themselves they care for the most?<\/p>\n
