\nthe Elites they were stirring, and had little time.
\nWhile those on the left wanted one payor only,
\nthose Elites on the right, act only quite slowly.<\/p>\n
And the mass in the middle … mostly live in a shell,
\nmany remain silent, some mumble, some yell.
\nBut blindly they wonder with their worn furrowed brows …

The Elites are all fighting … they’re angry … they’re riled.
\nTheir wants they are many … their lists are compiled.
\nThey tell all the masses, “Your interests come first …
\n… we’ll give you more bread and fatten your purse.”<\/p>\n
But after the speeches and the spin has been spewed,
\nthe Elites call their buddies, real discourse ensues.
\nAssurance is promised … no change will be made,
\nto cause an Elite not to be paid.<\/p>\n
Now Durbin and Reid … let out the zoo!!
\nAnd Schumer, Whitehouse and Lieberman too.
\nWhy it’s health care reform … we’re cleaning the stalls …
\nnow dash away … dash away … dash away all!!<\/p>\n
Our president states that we’re fixing a mess,
\nwith premium dollars … two thousand less!
\nAnd sure! keep your doctors! … come join in the song …
\nlet’s rejoice all together … why what could go wrong?!<\/p>\n
The goal is to get … a bill they can pass …
\nto the president’s desk … finally … at last.
\nSo use all the tape and the twine you can muster,
\nthey’ll get this thing passed with boasting and bluster!<\/p>\n
And the cost doesn’t matter … spend more and spend fast,
\nsome results unintended, but reform that will last!
\nFor what will it matter if the masses might suffer?
\nThey live in a shell, it will just make them tougher.<\/p>\n
While that mass in the middle, remains silent, ignored.
\nInside they’re wondering, who’s being gored?
\nWhy can’t Elites work together as one?
\nFor one sided reform will end up undone.<\/p>\n
When too many aren’t happy with a bill that is passed,
\nthe odds of disruptions and problems are vast.
\nAnd who do you think might be paying the price?
\nIf it be the Elites, now that would be nice.<\/p>\n
The democrats voted all sixty together,
\nwith some of the rational being quite clever.
\nBut that didn’t matter it had to be passed,
\ndespite future disruptions to be unsurpassed.<\/p>\n
Instead of addressing real problems at hand,
\nthe health care reform was overly grand.
\nThey ignored harmful impacts of changes they made,
\nthereby contempt for the masses displayed.<\/p>\n
Now Social Security and Medicare too,
\nwere passed with consensus, weren’t just rammed through.
\nSo … what were you thinking? From were did you come?
\nYou just foment new foes when you give folks the thumb.<\/p>\n
You must have forgotten new elections are coming,
\nyou’ve set yourselves up for a wholesale drubbing.
\nYour logic is lost in your elite little bubble.
\nYour hope and your change will fall into rubble.<\/p>\n
Heed this dire warning you Elites who don’t care,
\nfrom the mass in the middle you double-dog-dared.
\nWe may be quite simple … too trusting at first …
\nbut hey we’re not stupid … and we get the last verse.<\/p>\n
You Elites of the left … you … who we trusted,
\nof course you helped many … but many millions got busted.
\nYour one size for all, top-down plans just don’t work …
