One might at age of nineteen go to war,
\nas it has been so many times before.
\nToo often mercy lost to rage and hate,
\ntoo many questioned why such brutal fate.
\nBut there he lies with insides all turned out,
\nno more concerned of what life was about.
\nAnd those who do survive relive the tale,
\nin silence seek some peace to no avail.<\/p>\n
And here today at times we often see,
\nthat from such horror we are not yet free.
\nAt age nineteen again a fate to dread,
\nto horrors unimagined we are fed.
\nA college campus with no space that’s safe?
\nWith no tough love we shield the worried waif.
\nWhen well protected from a startling word,
\nreality is comfortably deferred.<\/p>\n
